Rental Agreement

Please read through our Rental Agreement carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by the below. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services.

The rental agreement is a legal agreement between you and Festi Fits Rentals Limited. 

1. Rental Agreement

By using our site and renting through us, we hold you accountable to uphold this rental agreement, which is specified in your order including the dates for the rental, the product ordered, its size, and the date by which the item is due to be returned. If the item is not returned by the due date stated in the terms and conditions you will be accountable for late fees, as you have no right to the product past the required date of return.

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD)

2. Rental Fees, shipping, Cancellations and bookings

The rental fee will be stated along-side the information required for each product which will be listed on the website, shipping will be charged at the checkout. In submitting your order, you hereby authorise us to charge your account used for payment for the rental fee and postage costs. This charge will occur immediately. 

Failure to return the goods or the goods are returned in a unusable state without choosing our damage waver option, you hereby authorise Festi Fits Rentals to charge you for the full retail value of the product rented from our website.

If you require a cancellation, this must be completed within 7 days of your event date chosen.

Please ensure you book as far in advance as you can. This allows us to receive the payment in a timely matter and also gives time for any postal delays.

If your order was placed after 3pm on Wednesday for the current week rental, we do not issue refunds if the order does not arrive on time. Postal delays on such late orders are outside of our control, this will be at your own risk. If your item does not arrive on time, we will however give you a gift card (minus the value of $25 for try on fees) to go towards your next purchase.

Orders that are classified as rural under the NZ post system, and rural delivery was NOT paid for, will not get refunded if it does not arrive on time. Please make sure you select the rural delivery option at checkout as this alerts us to send out your item promptly.

An item is deemed as being delivered if it is attempted for delivery, Item at depot, AND if you tried to arrange for a redelivery but does not arrive on time, we do not offer refunds. We recommend that you pick it up from the depot/post shop if our parcel has been attempted for delivery. Redelivery can cause major delays.  

We always ship via overnight courier, however NZ post does not give us a 100% guarantee, therefore we are unable to give you a guarantee. Most of our garments arrive to our customers overnight. But there is always the chance it may not, which is beyond our control. 

3. Damage Waver, damages, Cleaning and returns

Any item rented can have an optional damage waver added, please do this if you wish to be covered for any damage to your rental. You can add this option in your cart

Our Damage Waiver does not include:

  • Theft of the garment
  • Refusing to send back the garments
  • Parcels getting stolen from property
  • Sending back the garment incorrectly to us e.g., sending it back via a Post drop box such as Street post boxes, or the post boxes outside the post shop (but are not limited to just these options). All parcels MUST be sent back to us through NZ post by handing it over the counter and getting the bag scanned.

Should any misconduct occur to this rental agreement and you refuse to pay amounts due for any damage (unless damage waver option is chosen) or late return, we reserve the right to initiate enforcement procedures. Enforcement procedures including any solicitor fees or any other means we require to recover any fees owing by you, will be liable to you.

We will wash the garments on return, and treat any marks or stains appropriately. If washing does not remove the marks/stains and dry cleaning is required, you (the renter) are responsible to pay for this. This will be assessed on a case by case basis. This will not apply if the damage waver option is chosen.

If the prepaid post bag provided is lost by you, you are held responsible for returning the item at your own expense by the expected return date. The alternative return must be using a nationwide overnight courier service. You must immediately notify us with a tracking code.

When using your return post bag please ensure that you get the barcode scanned by a shop assistant at a New Zealand Post store, so that we are able to track its progress. If you send back the item incorrectly, (either by dropping it in a drop box, or street post box), or any other way, apart from getting the barcode scanned by NZ Post, you will not be eligible for a refund/gift card.  Incorrect methods of sending back our parcels, can cause major delays, and it can also get lost in the mail system. You may also be charged further if the garment gets lost in transit due to incorrect return method. 

It is your responsibility to return your item on or before your specified day. If you do not return your item by the chosen date, a fee of $5 per day will be charged.

4. Other

The rental agreement and the terms and conditions on the website form the entire agreement between you and Festi Fits Rentals Limited. We reserve the right to change or terminate this agreement at any time, without notice being given.

You agree that any photos you send of yourself in our clothing may appear on any/all of our social media accounts, or on www.festifitsrentals.co.nz.
